A brand new identity for county theatre of Västmanland.
In 2012 Västmanlands Teater in Västerås went through a vide range of changes. A new Director of Theatre, a new ensemble and new core values were reasons enough for a new brand identity.
A graphic identity system was created, including new logotype, color pallet, imagery and guidelines for all applications such as posters, ads, website, magazine, flags, staff clothing and a wayfinding system, interior and exterior of the theatre.
The new brand identity centers on the theatre’s core values; playful, courageous, open.
The logotype is a word mark, carefully and daring typographed in Helvetica, reflecting the modern and cross-border orientation the theatre was heading for.
A symbol accompanies the word mark, a shape of the letter V, or an abstraction of a movement upward and forward.
A brand pattern was designed, to be used as efficient branding on numerous applications.
A fully responsive website was designed and developed.
Twice a year a magazine was produced, presenting the upcoming season’s programme.
A wayfinding system, exterior and interior, was designed and executed.
